Boracay Island has over 200 resorts, hotels, cottages and vacation houses. Budget-conscious backpacker and the spoiled visitor, looking for ultimate beach-luxury, all can pick their favorite place from a wide range of accommodations available. Choose from native, so-called nipa huts (cottage made of wood, bamboo and Nipa-palm leaves), modern and spacious cottages with two rooms, kitchen and huge verandahs, all kind of vacation houses along the beach and on hilltops overlooking the sea, and modern resorts and hotels with swimming pools, spas and specialty restaurants.
In general: the higher priced resorts are located at the northern end of the White Beach (north of boat station 1), while the middle part has a good mix of smaller family run resorts and hotels. The southern part of the White Beach (around boat station 3) has a mix of small and cheaper resorts a little away from the beach and also high-end beach houses and a few resorts directly at the beach. Along the access roads leading to Boracays main road many hotels and some resorts with swimming pool have sprung up. Diniwid Beach, to the North of the White Beach has a nice mix of bungalows, vacation houses and luxury resorts. Another beach with cheap or medium priced resorts as well as rooms and houses for rent is Bulabug Beach, only 10 to 15 minutes walking distance away from the White Beach.
TIP:
Many guides and coordinators are waiting at the Caticlan and Kalibo airport to persuade guests to accompany them to particular resorts. Visitors without reservations made previously are advised to only book one or two nights through these coordinators and to look for oneself the next day.
